by Mikhail Bulgakov
A great novella. Amusing but chilling by turns. Bulgakov was an extraordinary writer. I have seldom seen The Heart of a Dog chosen like this as part of a reading course.
It’s quite unnerving how it can be both funny and scary at once, isn’t it?
Exciting! I didn’t know about this one
TMAM is one of my favourite books, truly a masterpiece…I love the line to live in magnificent defiance, thank you Henry.
That sounds terrifying. The only Bulgakov I e read is TMAM but I might give this a go.
Definitely worth reading! (And very short too.)
